What's new in FortéEMR 2.8.1

• You can now log into "Patient Kiosk" mode directly from the ForteEMR login screen. This will bypass the display of the Staff screen.

• Improved screen-formatting within the kiosk to accommodate lower resolution displays.

• Corrected several formatting issues within Patient Handouts.

• Resolved resolution issue with the default Body Images.

• Improved ForteEMR service now will import Chiro8000 referring doctors into its Contacts.

• Resolved issues where double-clicking a patient chart row would open the wrong tab within the patient's exam.

• Improved the Kiosk flow to prevent a patient from not taking a scheduled outcome assessment.

• Removed some default/sample data from the Radiology section.

• Improved CCD/CCR handling to recognize badly formatted documents and not allow their import.

• Corrected issue with Patient Note specifying ADL's 'as listed above' when they were not listed above.

• Medications are now linked to specific visits instead of just a patient case (They will be displayed under a new section “Medication” on the patient chart, previous entries will be under “Patient History”).

• Added an 'Indication' area in Radiology to capture additional notes regarding an X-ray film.

• Updated lab results export/import routines to accommodate additional XML data elements.

• Resolved data binding issue preventing cholesterol values from saving.

• Updated the Meaningful Use Medication Allergy list to include the patients reaction to the medicine.

• Updated Patient History >> Medication section to display a patients allergic reaction to a medication.

• Added support to track 'smoking recodes', allowing for MU reporting on patient smoking status changes.

• Added ability to import a CCR file and subsequently save it to the patients chart.

• Resolved unhandled exceptions that occur sometimes when opening the Patient Education screen.

• Introduced "Patient Portal" infrastructure that will push data to our patient portal website once the site and EMR backend is complete.

• Added drug/drug allergy interaction check system that will alert you when opening a patient chart and adding a medication, should there be any known interactions and/or allergies.

• Corrected a bug that displayed an incorrect message when deactivating a medication.

• Corrected an issue with exporting/emailing a lab result throwing an unhandled exception.

• Improved the format of the Automated Measures Report.

• Added '%' to the clinical measures report for improved readability.

• Improved CCD/CCR generation to handle and prevent invalid markup characters.

• Resolved issues surrounding the Chiro8000 patient demographic information not exporting successfully.
